Whole Foods are the best !!!
Whole foods are foods that are either not processed at all or processed minimally – “Nothing bad added, nothing good taken away”. Think of foods that don’t need labels listing several different unpronounceable ingredients. Examples include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fresh milk, eggs, unprocessed meat. The idea is to consume minimally processed foods as close to their natural state as possible: potatoes instead of potato chips, boiled/grilled chicken over chicken nuggets, fresh vegetables over frozen/canned ones, fresh juice over packaged one, honey over sugar, cold-pressed over refined oil, and so on.
What not to eat: ready-to-eat foods, heavily processed foods, fried foods, refined carbohydrates, fast foods, foods with added sugars, fizzy drinks, foods with preservatives
Whole foods are nutrient dense with higher fiber, vitamins & minerals than processed foods. Eating whole foods can help us lose weight, prevent diseases and improve our overall health. Let’s take our first step towards a healthy lifestyle by shifting towards a whole foods diet
“The trillion-dollar processed food industry uses dirt-cheap added salt and sugar to sell us their junk, and, by hooking us on hypersweet and hypersalty foods, our taste buds get so dampened down that natural foods may taste like cardboard. The ripest fruit may not be as sweet as Froot Loops, so we just continue to buy more and more of the processed junk”
